The Purpose

After almost three years of valiant service on local trails and EWS stages alike, with numerous awards and accolades along the way, the restless design team at HUNT saw an opportunity to update the Enduro Wide wheelset to meet the evolving demands of today’s riders.

Listening to their athletes on the EWS circuit, HUNT developed a testing protocol to ensure the Enduro Wide can take a beating on the most unforgiving trails without flinching. HUNT engineers built an impact test rig specifically for the task, then using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) they optimised the material distribution ensuring the strongest rim without incurring a weight penalty.

To better suit the differing needs of each wheel, a front (33mm int.) and rear (31mm int.) specific profile is utilised; designed for compliancy and grip up front, while the back is reinforced to handle high impacts. So, whether you're riding tracks with black diamonds marked at the trail head or spend the weekends chasing your next Enduro stage, the EnduroWide has your back.

Specs Overview

HUNT see wheels as a system, not a single component

  • Rims | 6069 T6 (490 MPa, + 69% Ultimate Tensile Strength over 6061-T6) welded construction, 33mm/31mm wide (internal), work-hardened shot-peened finish.
  • Hubs | Large body NDRO front hub and 5 degree RapidEngage rear hub, boost (110/148 ) spacing. Large double sealed cartridge bearings. Rock Shox Torque Caps for Boost hubs are available.
  • Spokes | 28F/32R Spoke Count, Triple Butted (2.2-1.6-2.0) PSR reinforced Pillar Spokes.
  • Tires | Optimised for 2.35"-2.6" tires set up Tubeless, but also work very well with 2.25"-2.8". Also great with standard tires and tubes
  • Axles | Extra thick 17mm 7075-T6 axles for increased strength and stiffness. Reducing flex in the hub also helps to increase bearing life.
  • Included | Tubeless tape, valve & spokes.

  • Maximum tire pressure for this rim: up to 2.5" do not exceed 40psi. 2.6 - 3.0" - do not exceed 30psi. Please do not exceed the maximum pressure stated on your tire.
  • Designed to work perfectly with tubeless and non-tubeless tires.
  • Suitable tubeless MTB tire combinations from Schwalbe and Maxxis are available to be fitted to your Hunt TrailWide Wheels.
